How to protect your energy - our favourite holistic tools
We’re BACK for PART 2 of our “How to Protect Your Energy” series.
This was inspired by one of our community members (hi!) - who asked “how can I protect my boundaries and maintain a work / life balance.
And because there’s SO much that we could speak to on this topic - we split it into 2 episodes.

And in today’s episode of the Hustle With Heart Podcast we’re covering our favourite holistic and alternative tools and methods that we recommend to protect your energy.

What is energy and why is it important?
Chi, Prana, whatever you want to call it, our world is created with energy at the smallest level.
Energy runs through you and through every atom of your being.
Your energy will fluctuate depending on your state, which is heavily affected by your environment. We are like walking radio stations with antennas, transmitting and receiving constantly.
Everything, from the TV you watch and the people you hang around, to the moisturising cream you use and the water you drink will have an effect on your energy.
So why is protecting your energy important?
You care about yourself, your family and your business. You want it to be as successful as possible, you want to feel vibrant in your body, you want to attract amazing and exciting opportunities and live in alignment, on purpose, by design!
Cool.
Well you can’t do any of that with dull, heavy and stuck energy. Period.
So let’s get into our favourite right brain/heart centred/holistic methods of protecting your energy!
Your physical body
You pick up so much as you move through your physical world - toxins, chemicals, others energy.
It’s important to cleanse and detox this regularly. You can go back to episode 17 to listen to our favourite ways to do this.
And when you start to CLEAN your internal environment = connect more into that.
We love:
Magnesium chloride baths
Smudging with frankincense resin
Getting out in nature for some negative ions
Sunshine
Ocean
Gua sha
Dry body brushing
Sauna
Yoga
Exercise
Your mental body
You have 3 minds - positive/negative and neutral - that are equally important to keep strong.
It’s important to cultivate the neutral and don’t make one bad or better than the other.
We recommend that you:
Audit the people you spend the most time with and make changes if necessary
Meditate
Watch how you talk to yourself and stop yourself if you become aware of any thoughts that are not kind, true or necessary
Your energetic body
There are 6 of them - soul/arcline/aura/pranic/subtle/radiant
It’s not important to understand them all and get into them in depth, however it’s important to be aware that you are more than just your physical body.
When you start to tap into your intuition and cultivate that relationship then you’ll know when one of these bodies is off immediately.

Your environment
Every item in your home/work/photo - carries an energy.
We recommend:
Design your environment
Rearrange furniture
Clear out that cluttered room and draw
Make sure that all the doors in your house can fully open
Everything has a home and is set out to be functional
Ultimately if you’re feeling off then trust that and either use one of the tools we have suggested or do something that feels good.
