A note on money...
We know that at times money can feel like a bit of a dirty word.
You might feel some resistance around the thought of growing your business, or scaling to seven figures because it can feel quite stretchy. You’re scared you’ll lose your freedom or that it’s a bit icky and ego driven.
In our culture, especially in the conscious business and spiritual world, there are old and outdated beliefs around money.
But for this world to evolve to a place that’s really amazing and high vibe - more amazing conscious heart centred businesses need to be big players in the business world and make an impact.
Money is just like energy.
And for us, it's by making more money in our business, it actually shows us that we're helping more people.
So this mindset was one of the biggest things that helped us grow a seven figure business quite quickly.
And we want to share with you our top tips and the foundational reasons why we were able to grow to that seven figure business BUT not sell our soul in the process.
The first reason was that we've always had a really clear vision.
A clear vision
A vision is like a North Star. It's a point that needs to be really clearly explained and referenced and interwoven throughout every aspect of your business.
It all starts with your vision.
It’s very easy to compare yourself with others and look at them and what their vision is or what their values are, and take some of that and put that into your vision.
That’s a recipe for disaster - because then you may not be fully aligned with your unique values.
And if you're not fully aligned with your business vision, then there's a mismatch. And it's gonna be impossible to actually create that vision, it's almost like you're going to have that internal conflict and be pushing a boulder up a hill.
And your vision may be really simple. But I think the key is that it has to be something that's greater than yourself. And the key for us is that our vision is based on our clients and the way that we want to show off and serve.
So the number one step that’s critical for growing and scaling a business is having a true vision and coming up with that, from a place where you are in your heart.
Action steps you can take to keep on track:
Creating a mind movie to program your subconscious and help you start true to what your big vision is
Speak it into the universe because the more you invite people in...the more you actually start to find the people that are going to connect you with your vision. That can be a real special sauce when it comes to bringing these things into your reality.
Investing in yourself and in your business
Another important element of growing and scaling your business is investing in yourself and in your business.
We’ve had over half a dozen coaches over our careers. And these have been coaches not only in the business world, but also life and spiritual coaches.
And that’s because if you want to get somewhere then instead of having to go through all of the mistakes by yourself, by working with a mentor (that has been where you want to go), you can fast track your success by learning from their wisdom, and working with them to create the roadmap.
So investing in a mentor or course - whatever you feel drawn to or whatever you feel is going to have the most impact for you - is critical to get to where you want to go quickly.
The importance of Team
Having a very strong team is absolutely crucial when it comes to scaling and growing your business and having freedom in the process.
It’s also key to know that your business is only as strong as the weakest team member in your team.
So you need to put the time and effort into every single person that you work with, and build a really strong culture with your team.
Systems & Processes
Processes and systems are SO important in your business.
Imagine building a house on an uneven slab...that's what it's like building a business without having processes and systems.
By having clear written processes that all of the team is on board with and trained properly in, it gives you so much freedom down the track.
It also means that you won’t be putting out fires all the time if issues arise. Because when it comes to scaling and growing, one of the scariest things about getting bigger is thinking “how can I take on more than what I'm doing right now?” By having clear systems in place you're not dragged into the business every time there's a fire to put out.
Systems and processes also keep the client's experience really consistent. So if you step away from the business (if you’re sick or go on holidays) you have a streamlined journey and system that means that your clients can expect the same experience from every team member that they encounter within your business.
Be Client Focused
You want to make your client the most important thing and continuously think about how you can serve them better.
Customer’s are are inundated with sales messaging asking them to “buy now” so the best way to position yourself as someone that they want to buy from is to give, give, give give, before you ask for the sale.
This is usually value based information that helps them with a problem they have.
Some questions to ask yourself when creating anything:
What are they struggling with?
What are their pain points?
How can you solve that for them?
How can you make their in-person experience be the best that you can for them?
How can you make a client's online experience with you the best it can possibly be?
These are all things to start thinking about to really position yourself as someone that people feel connected to and then ultimately will purchase from, and then ask for feedback.
So that could be on social media posts, online surveys, or just a one on one with customers. It’s all valuable intel that helps you to grow and scale your business.
Always have your customer or client front of mind in everything you do.
